Gessica Silverman

Gessica Silverman is a mixed media artist based in Cambridge, MA. Gessica’s work examines communication, interaction, connection, and dialogue. She employs various forms of language such as alphabets, symbols, and patterns as structural building blocks, combining them with contemporary materials in order to realize her ideas in both a 2D and 3D manner. Her work often references the body.
Her materials include felt, acetate, duct tape, vinyl, paint, ink, and string, among other things.
Gessica’s work has been exhibited nationally, awarded by the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and featured in SMFA view books in 2010 and 2011. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis, a Certificate in Multimedia Content for the Web from New York University, and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate and a Studio Diploma, both from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
